The terrible two's have already descended upon us. Well, I guess they have been here for a while. Kylie is so headstrong and independent, that it is sometimes so incredibly hard to get her to listen to us or let us help her or for her to behave when we go out. Typical, I am sure :) Kylie understands us fairly well, even though she isn't really saying words yet. But heaven forbid if we try to help her with any of her problems that arise. If she is already throwing a fit it is best just to step back and let her ride it out I have learned.
Something that has been really hard for Kylie lately is going out to eat. Apparently sitting in a carseat and then sitting in a high chair really isn't her idea of fun. Who can blame her? So we have to get really creative when we eat out, and this week we discovered the entertainment of a cootie-catcher, or whatever you what to call this origami contraption. Brandon entertained her for quite a while with it, and when he put it down Kylie picked it right up and could had already figured out how to make it move and everything. It was so cute when she started eating her food with it!
On Thursday, as most of you know by now, we had our ultrasound appointment. It looks like we are having a boy, and we couldn't be more excited! Kylie has no idea really. It's quite impossible to tell her something like that right now. She did come to the appointment, though, and paid no attention to what was on the monitor, she just freaked out because of the weird instruments the guy used on my stomach.
Other than that we did our normal summer routine: stay inside and play or go swimming. Kylie is so good at swimming now. She is starting to put her head underwater when she jumps in, and can swim the entire length of the pool all by herself. She is a good little kicker!
Ahhh! Miss my sweet Kylie. So adorable. Her birthday is coming up this Friday. Tell her Happy Birthday from me.
