Dancing in the Rain

This week we got a lot of something we normally don't get down here:  rain!!  I just love it when it rains, and lately, so has Kylie.  We got a huge storm on Thursday, and we decided to go out and play in the rain.  Kylie just loved it!

The rain was pretty cold, though, so eventually I enticed Kylie back to the door where I wrapped her up in a towel, intending to go back inside.  Yeah... that didn't happen.  Now that she was all wrapped up and warm she just went right back out into the rain.  So we spent some more time out playing in the rain, wrapped up in towels.

Friday we had another downpour, so we decided to make cookies.  Kylie was so good at dumping all the ingredients in the bowl and stirring, until it came to the chocolate chips.  Instead of putting them in the bowl, she took off with the bag and started snacking.  I didn't get the bag back for awhile, so luckily I had a spare bag of chocolate chips and finished off the cookies.  Kylie sure takes after her mom: a chocolate lover!

Kylie has been really cute lately.  I just love her personality, even if it is a bit headstrong.  This week she has learned to open doors (nowhere is safe anymore!!), and she has been singing along with all of her shows that she watches.  She doesn't have the words down yet, but she is starting to get the beat and intonation down!  I love when she sings, and sometimes she will even let me sing with her!

On Sunday when I went to go pick Kylie up from nursery, she didn't notice when I came in.  So I sat by the door and watched while she helped the adults clean up the crayons, and then helped to put away the chairs.  Only when she had started to finish her snack did she look up and see me, and got way excited.  I love how Kylie just loves to help out with everything!

Monday for breakfast Kylie decided that she needed a flashlight to see her food.  I thought that was really funny!
