Finding Fun Everywhere We Go

This summer heat is killing me.  I want to go out and play with Kylie every day, but it isn't much fun in 100 + heat.  So... that leaves us our regular swimming.  Practically every day.  Thursday morning I decided to break free and we went over the the St. George library park and played in the water there for a few hours.  It was nice to get out of the house (and neighborhood) for a bit.

Friday we were lucky enough to get some cloud cover in the evening with no rain, so I seized the chance and we all went to Pioneer Park and climbed all over the red rocks there.  It is a great place for her to run around and explore... we just have to be diligent about keeping up with her because she has no fear of edges or cliffs yet...

Kylie loves her new skill of opening doors now.  I have safety's on the doors that matter (like the cat doors), but she loves to open up the pantry and grab a snack for herself.  Thank goodness she is good about closing the door after herself, otherwise I'd go nuts.  A new game has formed out of this opening doors skill...  a new form of peek-a-boo!

As you know, Kylie is a very active little girl and very hardly sits still.  This is especially true at church.  Kylie never makes it through sacrament meeting.  This week I found her and Brandon in an empty classroom, drawing on the chalkboard.  It was pretty funny!

Luckily I have a few busy weeks planned, so Kylie and I will be able to get out of the house and have some fun!  I am starting to go a little stir-crazy if you can't tell!
