Adventures With Grandma Shari

This past week was packed with fun.  Brandon had a week-long campout with the scouts, so Kylie and I were going to be all alone for the week.  Luckily we had just bought a second car, so at least we wouldn't be stranded.  Then, as luck would have it, Grandpa Gary and Uncle Jordan were having their week-long campout this same week down in Zions, so they dropped off Grandma Shari to spend the week with us!  We had lots of fun, and Kylie always loves when family comes to play!

Tuesday morning we visited with the boys until they all left on their campouts.  Kylie had fun being a little goofball and playing in their motorhome.

That afternoon we stayed home.  Grandma Shari introduced Kylie to paint with water, and Kylie introduced her to some of her favorite movies.

Wednesday morning Grandma Shari took Kylie on a walk to a park.  

It gets pretty hot very early down here, so when they came back we decided to go play someplace cool:  the mall!  Kylie loves the little kids toys they have there.

After lunch and a nap, we decided to go swimming at the rec center (our pool was being cleaned).  Kylie showed Grandma Shari how well she can swim with her floatie, and we spent forever just following her around the pool and lazy river.

Thursday was another fun-in-the-sun day.  We went and met Grandpa Gary at Sand Hollow and played in the lake there.  Kylie is such a water baby that she went straight into the water before we had a chance to change her into her swimsuit.

When we finally got her out of the water, we ate our picnic lunch, got on our swimsuits and played in the lake.  It was so nice and calm and the water was so perfect!  This was our first time at Sand Hollow,  and we loved it so much that we will probably be going there a lot more!

After a few hours we were all wiped out by the sun, so we all went home and napped.  Friday was our last day with Grandma Shari.  We went to a park and played that morning, and then Grandma Shari gave Kylie her early birthday presents she had gotten her.  Kylie had fun playing with her new toys and learning how they work.  That evening Grandpa Gary came to get Grandma Shari, and we said our goodbyes.  We had a great week with her and Kylie just loved playing with her everyday.  

Brandon came home super tired from his camp out, but we still found time to swim on Saturday and have a nice family outing.  I think we are all a little worn out from all the fun this week!
