Staying Cool

It is getting hotter and hotter down here, so we don't get to play outside as much as we like.  Kylie is always entertained by anything she can find though, so we are doing ok.  Kylie is still a jabberer, but she still avoids words.  She is good at saying 'bye-bye' and 'dada', and she is getting the hang of 'bubbles', but mostly she just speaks Kyliese.  I keep trying though... eventually months of repetition will pay off... right?

Kylie is a good imitator as well.  Sometimes I catch her doing the same actions as whatever show she is watching, and it is so cute to watch.  My favorite is this little dance she does with the show Pocoyo; it is hilarious.

We did get out of the house several times this week.  Mostly we just went swimming.  We got out her kiddie pool a couple times, and went to the big pool, and even to the St. George library park where she got to run around in the river.  Kylie absolutely loves being in the big pool, though, especially with her floatie.  She freaks out (in a good way) when she floats all by herself, and has fun practicing her kicking.  We are still working on the holding breath under water bit.  I swear we have tried everything to get her to understand, but it just hasn't sunk in yet.
