Home Sweet Home

Our week was packed with lots of family time!  The first half of the week was spent with the Hansen's. Kylie loved having a park right outside the back door, and although she had a bad sunburn from the Sunday before she still loved being outside.  Luckily it got a little cold for a few days and that gave her some time to heal.  Grandpa Pete got some super cute pictures of her playing outside:

Wednesday morning Grandpa Pete even did a spring photo shoot with Kylie and got even cuter pictures of her.  It was kind of difficult because all she wanted to do was swing, and she wouldn't stand still and look at the camera for the life of her, but Grandpa Pete was amazing and still managed to get some cute pictures!

The last half of the week was spent with the Knudsen's.  Once again Kylie just loved to go outside and play on the tramp.  That is one thing I wish we had at home: green grass and a yard to play in.  Thursday evening we went to Scheel's to look around.  Kylie got really excited about the ferris wheel, but unfortunately was too short to ride it.  So everyone else rode it and Kylie got upset every time we all waved at her.  It was funny and kind of sad.  But other than that she had a lot of fun running around the store like the crazy child she is.

Friday was the day of Granny Knudsen's funeral.  Because Kylie doesn't sit well for long periods of time (like, anything over 30 seconds...), Grandma Tess took her for the funeral and burial.  It was a very sweet ceremony.  Grandma Tess brought Kylie back for the luncheon, where she had lots of fun running around the church with all the other little cousins.

Saturday was the day we got to go back home!  We love visiting family, and Kylie just loves always having someone to play with and doting on her, and being in new environments to explore, but she doesn't sleep very well from all the excitement which in turn makes me not sleep well, so we were happy to get home and all sleep in our beds once again!

Kylie was happy to be home and spent ten minutes just petting the cat and following him around the house.  Luckily she fell back into her sleeping habits immediately and was happy to do her own thing outside with the rocks again.

  1. I really miss Kylie already. I had such a blast with you all. I am hoping we can come down in July for her birthday. What a great week I had spending time with you all. I am glad you got to work it out to stay longer to attend the funeral. Love all the pictures!
