Adventures!

We had a busy week this past week.  Not doing anything crazy, but just having fun!

Last Tuesday we got out the kiddie pool and played in that for the afternoon.  Kylie had fun flinging water around and running around the driveway making little footprints.

On Wednesday morning we went to the library park for about 45 minutes and had some fun.  Kylie loves the water there and got completely soaked by running up and down the little river there. ( I had a really cute video to show her running around in the water, but blogger recently hasn't been letting me upload any videos for some reason, so you'll have to imagine it.)

Then we had a midwife appointment where we got to hear the heartbeat of her new little sibling for the first time!!  It was very exciting, even if Kylie didn't appreciate my midwife rubbing her instruments all over my stomach :)

After our appointment, we went over to the Rosenbruch Wildlife Museum for the first time.  I have been wanting to take Kylie for a while, but Brandon has been dragging his feet on a museum visit, so now that I had the car for the day and Brandon was at work, I figured it would be the perfect time!  Kylie had a lot of fun looking at the different animals on display.

I think Kylie's favorite part of the museum is that they give you a pair of binoculars to help you see all the animals on display, and Kylie just loved them.  Every time I said "Kylie, look!"  She would whip out the binoculars and look in that direction.  The funny thing was that she never really looked through them, she just pressed them against her face.  She even used them to look at the animal prints on the floor!

On Thursday we went to the library park again to play with some friends of ours, Kristelle, Kennedy and Acadia.  They had so much fun running through the water and the grass.  It is so nice that Kylie is at an age now that I can take her to play somewhere and just let her run around and explore without having to watch her every move so she doesn't fall or get hurt!  Of course, she does still fall and get hurt, but she is having so much fun that she usually doesn't make a big fuss about it.

Friday we played a lot outside as well, and I think it finally caught up to Kylie.  While I always made sure she had plenty of water, sunscreen, and her hat always on, I think she just got too much sun because on Saturday she was running a slight fever all day.  We had a nice quiet day at home and watched some movies and slept a bunch.  Sunday she was feeling a lot better, but I think she was a little worn out from being sick because she would randomly cry sometimes during the day.

So after her baths everyday Kylie likes to run around naked for a bit.  One day she got her little Guatemalan bag and just ran around wearing that.  I found it hilarious and just had to take a picture!
