Kylie and our cat, Charlie, have an interesting relationship. As you may know, Kylie is not a cuddler. But every morning when she gets up, the cat practically lays on top of her and nuzzles her. She whines and pushes him away, and if he doesn't go, she cries. Yet, the rest of the day she is trying to feed him things, wanting him to follow her around, and trying to climb where he climbs. It's so funny because if the cat shows any affection towards her she is annoyed, and the cat is annoyed by practically everything she does to him. Earlier this week the cat got on top of the bookshelf that Kylie occasionally likes to climb up on. She of course got upset, especially when she couldn't push him off, but luckily they found a compromise:
On Friday Brandon had a scout campout, so I decided to take Kylie out on the town. I called it our "girls night out", but I think it's funny because I am home with her all day and we do these things anyway, but it made it more exciting I guess!
First we went to Jumping Jacks and I let her wear herself out. Now she is finally tall enough to do the slides by herself, so I just got to sit back and watch her go down over and over for 20 minutes straight. Then I let her ride the mini carousel - which may have been a mistake, because I can already tell every time we come here in the future this would be all she wants to do...
Afterwards we went to The Sweet Tooth Fairy and got cupcakes. Kylie ate all the icing off of hers, and then tried to eat the frosting off the others we got to take home to Brandon. Um... no.
I completely wore her out with our evening adventure, and she fell asleep as soon as we got home. Goal achieved!!
Saturday Brandon and I went on a date, so Kylie had fun with Jenni, our babysitter. She didn't even care to see us walking out the door! Aw, my baby is growing up!
