This is how she wears scarves and necklaces - tucked under her chin. It's so cute!
This week we had a lot of fun. We babysat our neighbor Brandon one morning and Kylie just loved having a friend to play with. With other kids she just follows them around and wants to do whatever they are doing. She thinks she is so big! We also went swimming this week at a special 'toddler time' that the pool hosts, in hopes to find some more kids to play with, but to my dismay there was nobody. Well, there were two old ladies doing their water-walk, but other than them we were the only ones playing at the pool. Kylie still had fun, but not as much as she would have if there had been other kids there to run around with her. We also went and played with our friend Kennedy that used to live across from us but moved a few months ago. I am not sure Kylie remembered her, but they had so much fun playing together.
On Saturday we went to the Main Street park in the evening. All the trees were lit up and they had a little party going on. Kylie loved running from tree to tree looking at all the Christmas lights. We even introduced her to Santa Claus, or at least tried. She wouldn't sit on his lap, but would sit on mine and look at him. He was very friendly though!
In line for Santa. It was cold, but I couldn't for the life of me get her to wear her hat for more than a few seconds.
There was also a carousel there that Kylie could not stop looking at, so Brandon took her on a ride. She loved it - until it started moving. After a few times around she wouldn't even sit on the horse anymore and Brandon ended up holding her the rest of the time!
Overall I think she really enjoyed the little outing and I loved getting a little festive! Kylie is still too young to really get the holiday, but it's never too early to start traditions!
I love how Kylie is just staring at Santa. That is so funny. I don't usually like to give you advice because your such an awesome mother. I would say on the cat issue to be persistent and maybe show her how to treat the cat nice and soft. Keep up the great work Becca! I can't wait to see you all again. It is coming fast!
