On Wednesday everyone came over: Grandpa Gary, Grandma Shari, Uncle Dallan, Aunt Kelsey, and Uncle Jordan. Kylie warmed to Grandma Shari really quick, and after about 20 more minutes she was best friends with everyone.
We spent all of Wednesday at our house. The boys all did maintenance on our car while the girls all entertained Kylie. Or, more like, Kylie entertained us. She really does love playing with people and showing them everything she can do. Grandma and Grandpa were very impressed, I think, to see how much she has grown since their last visit just a month ago!
On Thursday, Thanksgiving, we spent the day at Brandon's family's condo. Once again, Kylie was off the wall happy to be in a new place to explore and lots of yummy snacks to eat while waiting for dinner.
As usual, when anything is out of the ordinary Kylie won't go to sleep, even when she is so tired and ornery. I tried every tactic up my sleeve to get her to take a nap while at the condo, but she just wasn't having it. Then, suddenly, she snuggles up with Uncle Dallan and zonks out!! He certainly had the magic touch, and I was so grateful for it!
After a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner we were ready to play again. Kylie went to the park with Grandma Shari and Uncle Dallan. Kylie absolutely loves parks, especially when there are other kids there to show her what to do and to play with.
Later that evening we went swimming. Kylie had fun with Aunt Kelsey while Mom and Dad simmered in the hot tub. That is one of the greatest things about family visits: I can take a break every once in a while because there are so many other people around to keep Kylie occupied. It's so nice and refreshing! And I bet Kylie loves not having to play with only me as well!
On Friday we had an adventure and went to Zions! This is the first time we have been there since we moved to southern Utah, so we were all very excited. Kylie took her nap in the car (yay!) and after a quick lunch we hopped on the shuttle and went to the very end of the ride and did the river walk. Everything was so pretty. It was a bit cold, but that didn't stop Kylie from wanting to run right into the river or play with the wet sand!
We spent the rest of the evening playing at the condo. Kylie especially had fun with Grandpa Gary and went a little crazy:
Saturday was our last day to play with everyone. We visited the park again and then Kylie 'helped' Grandma Shari clean and pack.
We had such a fun time and we are so thankful Brandon's family could come and spend time with us this past week!
It was such a fun wonderful week! Miss you all already.
