Smarty-Pants and Swinging-Pants

Well, we had Uncle Dallan here for a few more days this week.  Kylie sure loves visitors - Mom and Dad just don't cut it any more.  We went to play in the river for the first time ever and Kylie had such a blast!  I wish I brought my camera... but I didn't...  But she liked walking around (and crawling around) in the running water and playing somewhere new.

Uncle Dallan also found a new form of entertainment for her:

So Kylie and our cat are starting to not get along.  Our cat used to be nice and tolerant of all her pushing, hitting, and accidental bowl-overs.  But no longer!  He is starting to fight back.  I guess he figures a year of free passes is enough.  I am trying to teach Kylie to be nice and not pull his tail or hit him with random objects, but with a father like Brandon around, it makes it tough!

She was bouncing up and down on him, the poor thing, all thanks to Brandon's coaxing.  Our cat really does put up with a lot, with just Brandon alone!  And I don't blame him for wanting to fight back.  Hopefully I can teach her to be nice and not to tease so much!

Other than that we have been enjoying the summer indoors this week.  It's cooling down (mid-90's now!) but still way too hot to think about going out in the afternoon.  In the meantime Kylie grows more accomplished at our technological devices.  She likes the baby games I find on the internet for her, and she is also a good helper with my Cricut!  She likes to pat the paper down on the sticky mat, pull it out of the machine, and pull the paper off the mat.  She has discovered the power button the to TV (so that is always turning on and off) and she can put DVD's into the DVD player.  Man, kids these days are too smart for their own good!
