New Ways to Play!

This week was spent lazying-about in an attempt to make Brandon and I feel better.  We both still have bad coughs from our sickness last week.  Kylie must still be feeling sick too, because she has been taking two naps every day, as well as having a constantly running nose.  So, despite the nice weather outside, we have been lounging around inside.  Every time I do gather the strength to venture outside Kylie is so excited to be out there playing.  It makes me feel bad I don't feel well enough to do our normal outside play-times in the morning!

Our cat and Kylie are still struggling to get along.  Basically once I see our cat get into attack mode I chase him from the room to save them both.  Sometimes Kylie decides to 'share' with him, and that is nice when he just sits there and takes it!

Once I showed her how to roll the cat up in a towel, and she liked it so much that once the cat was out, she sat down on the towel and tried rolling herself up.  So we gave her a little help and it was all she wanted to do for the rest of the day.

Kylie is getting good at imitating us now.  She likes to dance with us, whisper back, sing, and do certain walks that I like to call 'spaceship' and 'dinosaur'.  I am also teaching her to color, but I spent most of the time pulling crayons from her mouth!  She is also very helpful around the house (kinda, ha!) and helps pull all the dishes from the dishwasher for me to put away, as well as the clothes from the laundry basket.  She can also put her diaper mat away after getting her diaper changed as well as carry out the dirty diaper bag and put it into the trash can outside.  And she's getting so big!!  She's already growing out of her size 12-18 month pajamas and finally growing out of her 9-12 month onesies.  And she goes every where at full speed.  Soon here she will be talking and then life will get even more interesting!

  1. Becca I just loved how she put all the toys on the Charlie. That cat is amazing to take it because my cat would have run away. I love how she is growing up and being so darling. Thanks for sharing her with this blog!
