Summer Days

It seems like the weeks are just flying by!  Kylie is growing up so fast on us.  She is very talkative and social, and loves to meet new people.

We had our first experience with actual babysitting, and she did great!  I was so relieved.  Hopefully we will be able to have her be babysat more often so she will be just a little less attached to me :)

We are sure enjoying this summer.  It's hot, but we still go out and play nearly every morning.  And it's the perfect weather for grilling!  Kylie likes it when we grill because we let her play in the back of the car while we cook the food.

This week Uncle Dallan also came to visit us!  Kylie has really enjoyed having him here, and she loves to play with him or sit next to him while watching a show.  Luckily for her he is here for a few more days!

Kinda short, I know, but seriously these hot summer days are just melting into each other.  Kylie is still sleeping through the night (yay!), and still only doing her morning nap.  I think we have fully transitioned!  Now, we just need to work on growing some more hair...

  1. Kylie is wearing the little outfit that I gave her. I also loved seeing Dallan and her. So jealous that he gets to be there and not me. If I was closer I sure would babysit a lot for you both. Miss you all. As always thanks for posting.

  3. Such a fun time. You are smart to start leaving her with a babysitter now. This age is so much easier with the leaving part than it will be in even 6 more months. I strongly believe that they should go into nursery at 12-15 months because they are so much more willing to part with mom at that age versus 18 months! Carsen won't stay in nursery without me or without crying the whole time! So if you get Kylie used to being left with someone else now, the transition to nursery should be easier when that time comes! And I am so glad that she is still sleeping through the night. You made it! Enjoy it!

    1. I agree Marie!! Kylie is at an age where kids are so interesting that she is more preoccupied watching or playing with them than looking for me. I am counting down the months till she can go to nursery, and hopefully by then she will be happy to stay there on her own!
