Bowls, Books, and Bubbles

This week was such a good week for Kylie!!!  Oh, and for me!!  Something that I have been waiting for over a year has finally happened.  Kylie now sleeps through the night!  Oh, I am so excited I can't even tell you.  Last week she slept through the night once, but this week she did every single night except for one!  I think we are on a roll here and my fingers are crossed that just because I wrote it down she won't change back!  Unfortunately, some bad has come with this good.  She now wakes up every morning around 6.  Ugh.  And one morning she even woke up at 5:40.  Double Ugh.  But thankfully she will play for at least a half hour before she makes me drag myself out of bed!

Kylie is getting very good at amusing herself during her play time.  She likes to get into everything in the kitchen - bowls, utensils, the pantry - and make a lovely mess for me to clean up.  The other day I caught her sitting in a bowl and it was the funniest thing to catch her doing!  Normally it is the cat we catch doing these sort of things...

I also see her "reading" her books all the time now.  I am so happy that she likes books, and I hope it stays that way!

One night we were having pizza, and we had a half piece left over, so I just decided to give the whole thing to Kylie to see what she would do with food that big.  She had a blast!  Though she was done eating, she had so much fun ripping the cheese and toppings off and shredding the whole thing.  I haven't seen her this excited about food in a while!

I also introduced Kylie to bubble bath for the first time this week as well.  At first she didn't know what to make of it, and then she spent the entire time trying to eat it - despite spitting it out every time and making a face.  

Kylie is so fun to be around and every day just gets more exciting!!
