Busy Busy Bee

This week, like every week past, was all about playing for Kylie.  She is a very busy bee and is sometimes hard to keep up with.  Something that always keeps her entertained, though, is technology.  She has already figured out how to slide her finger to get phones unlocked or the tablet screen to switch.  She is going to be a whiz with gadgets here soon.

Kylie also loves to sit on top of our little coffee table.  She can hang out forever on it playing with her toys, or dancing.  I like to set a little bag of surprises on it for her to dig through while she chills up there.

She also has so much fun playing with our neighbors little girl, Kennedy.  Well, kinda.  She mostly likes playing with her toys :).  Kylie has a very hard time when their garage is open, but they aren't outside, so I won't let her play with Kennedy's toys.  So we went to DI and got her a toy just like the one she loves to play with at Kennedy's.  She loves it.  But she still loves Kennedy's toys too!  Aahhh.. soon the concept of sharing will make sense... I hope.

This week Kylie has learned something new, and out of the blue.  She can now high-five!!  Which is funny because we don't do lots of high-fives... so I don't know how she learned it.  Maybe she just likes hitting our hands!

Kylie is also VERY good at throwing tantrums now as well.  I swear not 20 minutes pass with out her throwing a fit about something.. or in some cases nothing.  It's getting to be very tiresome!  It will hopefully get easier to deal with when she can actually communicate what she wants!

  1. The Joy of Motherhood! I remember the days of fit throwing with my children. Such fun. I like how she is laying on the coffee table and she knows that is her spot. I am glad you were able to find a little riding toy for her so she has her own to play with. My favorite is the high five and how when you clap she knows she is doing something totally cool.

  2. Yes! The joys of motherhood where nothing is something and something is nothing! But just so you know, the tantrums do lessen, but they ones that happen tend to be worse. So prepare yourself for that one! A piece of advice, find something that she loves and then use that to help pull her out of the tantrum. For instance, the other afternoon she was having the tantrum of the century (at the moment) and I told her that we were going to see "Papa" and she calmed right down. It also works with "walk" "swimming" and "store" for some reason. Crazy kids!
