Autumn Outing

Fall weather down here is so nice!  I love being able to take Kylie out and about at whatever time of day.  Of course, even with all the outside playing, Kylie still loves going swimming.   So we went to the rec center for the first time in a few weeks, and Kylie was so excited she was literally shrieking with delight for ten minutes straight.  She's so cute when we go swimming.  Her favorite thing to do is go down the slides.  She is always asking to go down the big slide, but we have to wait until the very end to do that slide because after going down it that is all she wants to do and we have to drag her away screaming when it's time to go.

In fact, we have been having to 'drag her away screaming' from many things recently.  I try and be reasonable and let her play longer and talk to her and ask her to be obedient, but it usually ends up with me picking her up and her making a scene as I attempt to leave.  Such fun.

Something fun that Kylie enjoyed this week was when we went visiting teaching, and we sat outside and Kylie got to play fetch with the dog.  This was her first time playing fetch, and she just had a blast.  Every time she threw the ball she would just laugh and laugh.  Kylie even got to feed some grapes to the chickens which was equally as thrilling.    Over all I would have to say it was one of the best visiting teaching visits for Kylie ever.

Saturday was a busy day for us.  In the morning Brandon and I had our birth class (only 5 more weeks!), so Kylie had a fun morning with Jenni and was napping by the time we came home that afternoon.  After she woke up, we all went over to Staheli Farms to spend the evening.  First things first, in her excitement to go to wherever she thought we were going (I am sure all the cows right next to our car just made her even more excited), she trips and falls and gets her face all scratched up and covered in dirt.  So our fun night starts off in tears and sadness.  :(

We decided do the corn slide first thing and that cheers her up!

Then we went to pet the farm animals.  Kylie was a little freaked out about actually touching any of the sheep or goats or pigs, but she sure loved to chase them around.

Then Kylie bounced on this huge jumping pad thing.  I felt really bad, because by the time she had finally gotten her balance enough to jump around (versus crawling around), it was time for the big kids turn, so we had to take her away before she had really had her fun.

So Kylie wasn't too happy on our wagon ride out to the corn maze.

Once we arrived though, she was very happy to run around all the paths and pick up corn stalks.  Then, when Brandon pointed out corn to her her, she had to stop and point at every piece of corn she saw.  With her doing that it was taking forever just to go down one path, so Brandon ended up carrying her.  Even then the corn was still taller than her!

After we figured out the maze we took another wagon ride to the pumpkin patch where we picked out our Halloween pumpkin.  Overall Kylie really enjoyed herself and behaved quite well.  It is so fun to take her new places and show her new things!  I think that is my favorite thing about having a kid, all the excitement and wonder in everywhere we go!

Here is a fun game that Brandon and Kylie came up with.  It was hilarious, because as soon as I took this video, I showed Kylie it, and then she replayed it a million times while trying to reenact it exactly.  It wore Brandon out.
