Easter

This holiday weekend was a crazy busy one for us!  We were lucky enough to have Grandma Tess come a visit us for three days, and right now I am banging my head because I never got a picture of her and Kylie together!!  Argh!  Oh well, for how much fun we had, I really never took out my camera :)

First of all, Kylie exhibited how talented she is by inventing all sorts of ways to climb up to the top of the shelving unit.  She would move chairs and balls to reach her goal and once there be so excited and proud of herself.  Obviously we don't let her stay up there, but constantly being put back on the floor did not deter her.

Friday afternoon we all went swimming at the rec center.  We all had fun, especially Kylie who loved to run around in the water, go down the slides with Brandon and jump into our arms.  Then we went to a park to play.  We wore her out pretty good that first day with Grandma Tess!

Saturday morning Kylie had her very first egg hunt ever!  Before we got started Kylie played on the playground, so of course when it was time to line up for the hunt she did not want to leave the slide.  But, after she got some candy in her mouth she got pretty excited about finding candy and eggs in the tall grass.  And for her prize she picked (well, I kinda picked) a Lightning McQueen car which she loves!

Saturday afternoon we went to the St. George airport and we were just in time to watch a plane take off.  Kylie was only mildly interested... The rest of the night was spent with a babysitter while everyone else when to Tuacahn to see Uncle Tommy preform in a concert.  Kylie wasn't able to go, since 3 and under weren't allowed in the theater :(

Sunday, and Easter! was a busy morning!  We decided to do Easter after church, and I was super excited to see Kylie react to her basket and "hidden" eggs.  But Kylie was pretty mellow about it all.  She had fun looking at her Easter basket and didn't even notice all the random eggs chilling all over the floor and shelves.

With a little help and prodding Kylie had some fun finding all her eggs.  She had to open every one and dump the candy in her bucket before going to find another egg.  It was pretty funny.

Sunday afternoon we got to have Uncle Tommy come over and have Easter dinner and play some games with us!  It was nice to have family over for the holiday, it made it a lot more fun!!

  1. What a great Easter. So glad your family got to join you. I wondered how Kylie would feel about Easter Egg hunting. Next year she will be pro.
    Thanks for sharing...
