This week was our most beautiful week yet this year! So we did lots of what Kylie likes best: going outside! Nearly every afternoon we either played outside in the neighborhood chasing dogs or playing basketball, or we took Kylie to a park to play. Kylie loves the park because she is now big enough to climb all over things and go down slides by herself.
I don't know why, but every time I feed Kylie something sweet, I think it is the funniest thing to take pictures of her. I hardly ever take pictures of her eating normal food! This week she got to try two items she hasn't had in months and months... oreos and cupcakes! And she eats them both just like me! The oreos by twisting them apart and eating the cream, and the cupcake by eating all the icing first! I found this extremely funny.
In an attempt to get Kylie to sit farther from the television (she always has her nose pressed against the screen), we decided to get her a chair to watch her shows in. She absolutely loves it. She carries it around with her and just loves to sit in it. So far it has worked and she has been sitting in it to watch tv. Yay!
Of course, we always have fun with random things inside the house. One day it was these little nets that were used as packaging off of something we bought. When we first gave her one she was in her high chair and she wanted it on her head. So we put it on for her, and then she tried to continue eating, only the netting was in the way and she was really confused as to why the food wasn't getting in her mouth. We tried to get a video of it, but she was too smart for us and figured out the reason. Oh, and Brandon also demonstrates the net on his head, too!
This week when I went to go pick up Kylie from nursery, she did the cutest thing. She was coloring on a table by herself, and when I came in she was excited to see me as usual. But instead of racing out the door like any normal kid would do, she picked up all the crayons on the table and put them in the container, went across the room and got the lid for it, put it on, handed me her picture, and then raced for the door! I was so amazed - as were the nursery leaders! Apparently I am teaching her something right!
Today Kylie turns 20 months old! I can't believe she is so close to 2 years old and all the things she can already do!!
