Breaking out the Swimsuit

While we didn't go swimming this week, we still had opportunities to bask in the warm sun and play with water.  On Friday we washed out our garbage cans.  To keep Kylie occupied while we did our chore, we brought out some buckets and toys for her to play with.  At first she was a little wary of the water, but soon she just sat in her chair and shoveled water from one bucket to the next.

On Saturday we were still in a water-playing mood so we went to the St. George library and played in the little river of water there.  We went a couple of times last year, but this year Kylie is just the right age to actually enjoy it on her own.  She had so much fun just walking up and down the river and watching all the other kids running around.

All this sun can get annoying.  Luckily, Kylie has finally figured out the advantage of wearing her sunglasses outside.  She will wear them all the time inside, but hasn't had the patience to keep them on outside.  This past week, though, she finally likes to wear them outside (and in the car) to keep the sun out of her eyes.

Playing outside all the time we are able to make new friends.  This week Kylie played with Kendall, who came by to play in the water on the driveway, and also Peyton, who has a fun slide in her backyard that Kylie loves.  Peyton is a good smiler for the camera... Kylie, not so much...

Now that it is hot enough to wear shorts outside, Kylie is starting to get some battle scars on her legs from when she falls or climbs on rocks.  I am debating getting her some knee guards!

  1. Wow warm enough to play in the water outside. I am jealous. Kylie looks so cute out sporting her little bathing suit. No prejudice involved (hahaha)but wow she is super cute!
