It's already been four months. I can't believe it!
This week Brandon broke down and bought Kylie a new toy (like he does every week... haha), but this is a life saving toy just at the brink of its usefulness: a jumper!
This saves me so much time in my day, because one of Kylie's favorite things to do is stand up. So now she can stand up in this and play and I am free to get some of my work done! And Kylie just barely hit the age for this to be appropriate, so I have many months ahead where this will be useful and entertaining.
Kylie's also starting to notice strangers... and how much she doesn't like them. We got to see Uncle Tommy as he stopped by in St. George on his way to a band competition in California, and she was fine with him until she saw the many strange faces of his bandmates and then she just started wailing. It happened again yesterday at the doctors office. She was happy and laughing with me and the nurse, but when she was sat in front of the doctor she studied him for a second and started wailing at him. If it weren't cold and flu season I'd say let's get her out more!
One of Kylie's favorite things to do right now is to pick things up. She likes to be standing, and then bend down and pick up her toy, straighten up, drop it, and start all over again. I sit there holding her while she does this for twenty minutes straight sometimes.
While she hasn't rolled over from her tummy to her back again this week, she has laughed a bit more. She finally did it in front of Brandon for the first time on Monday, and he loved it. It still is hard to get her excited enough to laugh though. She has to be in a special mood.
