Fun, Fun, Fun!

While my energy is slowly draining away, Kylie seems to have an overdose of energy.  Twice this week she didn't take a nap (that sure caught up with her by dinner time...), and while she is awake she is super hyper.  Sigh... I will be so glad when the baby comes and I can gain my energy back (not to mention my ability to run again).

On Saturday we took her to Jumpin' Jacks to let her run around.  She is so good at going down all the slides now and she just loves it.  Brandon went down a lot of the slides with her, and then she got in the habit of standing at the end of the slide and waiting for Brandon to bowl her over.

Kylie is a regular monkey still and I can't keep her off of things.  In an attempt to keep her off my desk, I moved my chair and replaced it with a large exercise ball.  Unfortunately, she has got pretty good balance, so she sat at my desk for a while watching a show.  But she couldn't climb onto the desk!  Yay!

Kylie is continuing learning more words and being a copy cat, although it is still hard to understand what she is trying to say.  She is calling me 'mommy' now though!!  Only when she wants something, really, but it is nice to hear her say it!  

Sunday night we played Twister with her, trying to teach her the colors.  It didn't work so well, but it was a lot of fun!

                                     

One big success is that I have finally gotten Kylie to eat peanut butter and jelly!!  Hurrah!  She wouldn't eat it for the longest time, and now she suddenly likes it.  But she won't eat it if it is cut up or she is in her chair.  So I just make her a whole sandwich and she usually eats the whole thing!  She also likes eating whole apples, too, instead of me slicing it up for her.  Same with bananas - she enjoys peeling them herself.  My baby is getting so big!!  She is requesting to sit at the table to eat instead of her high chair, and has been using a booster seat at restaurants now as well.  She also likes to share her food, unless it is something she really likes.  Then she becomes a little piggy and takes huge handfuls or tries to take the whole snack away to a corner to eat.  Especially pomegranates.  Once I am done getting all the fruit out and into a bowl, she will snatch it away and stuff her mouth.

Overall I think Kylie is going to be a great big sister.  She is very helpful and usually good at sharing.  The new baby is expected her soon, and I am so excited to see how she will react to her new baby brother!!
